Hi, I’m Brittney, founder of Once Upon a Resell. My journey into the world of sustainable fashion and community giving began unexpectedly, rooted in the unique needs of my family here in Louisville, KY. As a college graduate in software development, life presented different challenges that led me to homeschool my three wonderful children, each with special needs, for nearly a decade.
During this demanding but rewarding time, I discovered an unexpected knack for reselling children’s clothing. What started as a practical solution to support my family quickly evolved into a profound passion. Thanks to the incredible support of our shoppers and clients, Once Upon a Resell has grown into a small business with a big heart, allowing me to provide for my family, promote textile recycling, and actively contribute to our local community.

Unlike traditional consignment or typical thrift stores, we operate on a direct buyout model. While we can’t offer consignment or standard thrift prices, we provide a transparent percentage of the item’s resell value. This allows us to cover our overhead, sustain our community efforts, and continue sourcing the unique pieces our shoppers love.
